About
Leisl Adams was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. She grew up watching a lot of television, and tried to draw everything she saw on it. In high school she started drawing comics to share with friends, and got involved doing illustrations and comics for various school publications, as well as animation for the school video club.
Later, she attended Sheridan College, graduating from the Classical Animation program in 2002. Since then she has worked as an animator and storyboard artist on various television shows like Lunar Jim, and Poko.
She now works as a freelance artist, doing art for TV, games, and books, assisting in 2009 with illustrations for The Dork Diaries, published by Aladdin books.
Besides her freelance work, she has self-published a pre-school book called Monsters Under the Bed!, and writes and draws a webcomic called On The Edge. Her resume can be viewed online here.
